I received a parking fine even though I paid

Updated this week

That’s frustrating, of course. Luckily, there are some things you can check. Here’s what to do:

Check your parking details

Open the app and look under your completed parking sessions. Carefully check:

  • Whether a session was active at the time and date of the fine

  • If you selected the correct parking zone or street

  • Whether you entered the correct license plate

Sometimes it’s something small, like a typo in your license plate, that could still result in a fine.

Not sure? Contact us

Our customer service team can check if a session was active and send you a confirmation. In many cases, we can provide an official statement you can use when filing an appeal.

File an appeal with the municipality

If it’s clear that you paid, you can file an appeal. The fine will state which municipality to contact and how to appeal.

Important:

  • File your appeal on time, usually within a few weeks

  • Include proof such as a screenshot or PDF of your parking history or payment

  • Mention your license plate, zone or street, and the date and time

Save your proof

Keep all relevant documents safe, such as screenshots, confirmation emails, and our statement (if requested).

Even though the system usually works well, mistakes can happen. With the right proof, a wrongly issued fine can often be overturned.

Please note: ParkBee is not responsible for fines where no system error on our side is found.
